Stockpot Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Stockpot app and website, operated by Samuel Warren, doing business as theneeb. By using Stockpot you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Stockpot.
What the app does
Stockpot searches the web for recipes that match the ingredients, cookware and time you choose, checks them, and presents them as a clean cooking guide with a link to the original page. The recipes come from third-party websites. We credit and link to the source and rewrite instructions in our own words; the original author owns the original page.
Cooking is yours
The app is a search and organization tool, not a chef, a nutritionist or a doctor. Ingredient lists, times and quantities are read from web pages by automated means and may be wrong. You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergies and dietary needs, for cooking food safely, and for the results. The camera feature makes its best guess at what is in a photo and shows its confidence; it can be wrong, and you decide what goes into your kitchen list.
Your account and saved data
You can cook as a guest or create an optional account. Guest kitchens, saved recipes and settings stay on that device. After you verify an account, Stockpot synchronizes the kitchen, favorites, saved guides, history and preferences associated with that account across signed-in devices. Signing out returns the device to its separate guest data. Deleting the account deletes its synchronized data.
Free searches, ads and subscriptions
- The free tier includes a set number of searches to start and more over time, as shown in the app. Watching a rewarded ad, where offered, adds one. We may change these numbers.
- Stockpot Unlimited is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- Unlimited means no per-day search cap for normal personal use. To keep the service working for everyone there is a limit on how fast searches can be made, shown in the app if you reach it.
Web subscriptions
Where browser checkout is available, Stockpot sells the subscription, RevenueCat manages billing and Stripe processes payments. Web subscriptions are initially offered to customers with a United States billing address. The monthly plan is USD 7.99 per month and the yearly plan is USD 79.99 per year, plus applicable tax. Checkout shows the total and billing period before you confirm payment. Your payment method is charged when the purchase completes and automatically at each renewal until you cancel. There is no free trial unless checkout expressly offers one.
To cancel a web subscription, sign in to the purchasing account and open Manage Subscription, or use the customer portal linked in your billing emails. The portal may email you a secure sign-in link. Cancel before the next renewal to stop the next charge. Access continues through the paid period unless a refund or payment reversal ends it earlier. Deleting the app, signing out or deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
For web billing and refund requests, email contact@theneeb.com with the billing email and purchase date or receipt reference. Do not send your password or full card details. We review refund requests individually; cancellation alone does not refund an already-paid period. This does not limit any refund or cancellation rights required by applicable law. Apple purchases follow Apple's refund process.
Web membership belongs to the verified Stockpot account used at checkout. Sign in to that account on supported devices to use it, or choose Restore access on the website. Restore an Apple purchase in the iPhone app while signed into the Stockpot account you want to use. Restoring the same Apple subscription to another Stockpot account may move its access away from the previous account. Your shared search balance and account membership stay with the account when you sign out.
Comments, ratings and names
- Comments and display names are public. Keep them about cooking, and keep them decent: no harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, spam, advertising, links, personal information about anyone, or anything unlawful. Automated filters refuse some content and a human reviews reports.
- You keep ownership of what you write and give us permission to show it in the app and to remove it. We may remove any comment and may stop a device from commenting, at our discretion, especially after reports.
- You can delete your own comments and report or block others in the app.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its server, interfere with others' use, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may limit or stop service to a device that does.
Availability and changes
The app depends on third-party services (web search, an AI model, hosting, app stores). It may be slow or unavailable at times, and features may change or be withdrawn. We will try to give notice of significant changes in the app.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for damages arising from recipes, ingredients, cooking, or third-party content or services. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the law where you live.
